We are the Quarantined Quartet! We’re a family guitar quartet from Brooklyn, NY, made up of Elysa (mom), Jason (dad), Joseph (son), and Noah (son) Hochman. We started our band on March 21, 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic lockdown, and began posting on Instagram that day, marking it as our first practice as the "Quarantined Quartet." Since then, we’ve practiced and posted a video every day on Instagram for over 1,900 consecutive days.
We are the founders of the New York Guitar Academy, with backgrounds in Spanish classical, flamenco, and rock guitar. Our repertoire includes original compositions and covers, reimagined in our distinctive style. The mix of instrumental beauty and rhythmic intensity has helped us build a loyal following, and we’re excited to keep creating and inspiring others.
